SUA, THE EXCLUSIVE REPRESENTATIVE ROMERO BRITTO BRAND
SUA Galeria is the first international gallery of pop art superstar Romero Britto. SUA was granted exclusive rights and thus became the international distrubutor of Britto products in Latin America. Opening their first gallery in the midst of the cultural and high-end district in Bogotá, Colombia in a space formerly occupied by the Apple store. The gallery closely resembles the original Britto Central gallery in South Beach, Miami, Florida.
SUA Galeria was searching for an identity to match with the caliber of Britto’s work. To face this design was a tremendous challenge for J+D, keeping in mind that the new identity had to be innovative while at the same time respect Britto’s brand’s history, and the brand image will simultaneusly have the flexibility to integrate with other global brands as Britto is frequently presented.
Along with the client J+D explored several creative routes, each one with countless alternatives, including graphic possibilities for the brand’s main applications. Finally, the visual identity found its ideal shape in a logo created from a unique use of frames that allows writing the gallery’s name in a
Visual design was a central consideration coupled with strong information architecture.
J+D created the main brand identity including its logotype, stationery, brand guide and other marketing materials. The gallery was revolutionized with launch events that gathered large crowds of customers who immediately showed their emotion for the official arrival of the Britto brand to Colombia
